The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date came to market shortly after its cousin the Datejust. Similar to the Datejust, the Date features an automatically changing date display on the dial as well as a waterproof Oyster case and a perpetual movement with self-winding technology. The main difference between the two models is that the Date utilizes a slightly smaller case measuring 34mm in diameter for a more modest hold on the wrist. The preowned Rolex 1500 that is presented here today is an older-model Date that features vintage index hour markers and hands as well as creamy luminous plots. The dial sits below a thicker acrylic crystal, giving this men’s dress reference an aesthetic that is undeniably vintage.
